God’s Recipe of Blessings

Gently warmed sunshine just fill the air
    One summer breeze that ruffles your hair
One robin singing—one turtle dove
    Stand there and feel it—infinite Love

Add these parts to it—if you need more
    Ocean waves, foaming—break On the shore
Mountains majestic—slice off peaks
    Stand there and listen—for God to speak

There are some others—add them as needed
    Flowers in springtime—God has conceded
Beans, corn and peppers—sharp cheddar
    Stand there, remember we will need these

Finally put in God’s gift—His Son
    Cold in abundance, the Love that we’ve won
A cup of salvation and sprinkled with Grace
    Stand there—it’s warmed by His Holy Face!

Mix all these blessings—see how they blend
    Faith so eternal, it never will end
Grace so amazing, unquestioned love
