Cyndi's Struggle with RSD
I have been diagnosed with **Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) which is also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). RSD and CRPS are some times used interchangeably, because of the simularity of some of the symptoms. The type of pain symptoms that I experience on almost a daily basis are burning, tingling, stabbing or spasms in my feet and lower leg area. If you will click right here you will find a letter to my family it explainces what I am feeling please read it.
This link is to a picture show that illustrates how bad my feet have become. The slides here don't tell how painful this condition can be. I am in pain a great deal of the time and when I am not in pain my feet tingle like they were asleep. They also feel like they were burning and believe me that does get old very quick. At times I cannot even stand to be touched. Medifocus contains information that defines what RSD is. There is a definition at The National Institute of Neorological Disorders and Strokes that is a good definition about RSD. The pictures above are a slide presentation of what RSD has done to my feet.
